Effective from September 1, 2025, part of the assets of Synthesia, a.s., including the Oxycelulose unit, were spun off and merged with Synthesia Nitrocellulose, a.s., which is a 100% subsidiary of Synthesia, a.s. The rights and obligations arising from legal relationships in which Synthesia, a.s. was a participant, were transferred to Synthesia Nitrocellulose, a.s. (as successor manufacturer).  As of the decisive date of the spin-off, Synthesia Nitrocellulose, a.s. became the legal manufacturer of the medical device OKCEL® and assumed full responsibility for the product, including all obligations related to its safety, quality and performance throughout its entire lifecycle and regulatory compliance, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and other applicable legislation. The production continues to remain at the same site: Semtín 103, 530 02 Pardubice, Czech Republic, and there is also no impact on the design, intended purpose or manufacturing process. The company name Synthesia Nitrocellulose, a.s. has been  introduced on the labels and at the same time, new CE and ISO 13485 certificates have been issued in the name of the company Synthesia Nitrocellulose, a.s.
